Rockets Snare Wildcats and are then T-boned by the Hubmen.

The Rockford Rockets jumped on the New London – Spicer Wildcats in an epic HS battle. In the end the Rockets prevailed 69-66 and handed NLS only their 5th loss of the season.

Then Saturday the Rockets traveled up 19 to St Michael to play a game in the Breakdown Sports USA Community Clash. This year the Rockets faced off against the Jordan Hubmen. The Hubmen were a good team and received considerable “assistance” from the refereeing crew assigned to the game (enough so that normally calm, cool and collected Coach Tauber received a bench warning EARLY in the 1st half of the game… that didn’t bode well). In the end the Hubmen demolished the Rockets 74-49. Not a proud moment for Rocket Basketball.

The Rockets now sit at #8 in the section which would mean the first Sub-Section game would be an away game (currently it would be vs Brooklyn Center). And they are sitting at #3 in the conference behind Litchfield and New London-Spicer with Mound-Westonka nipping at their heels.

Next up 2/8 @ Annandale, 2/9 @ Alexandria (vs Sauk Centre), then 2/11 @ Watertown (make-up game for 1/29).
